A MOMENT OF CHERRIES IN WAITING!

It  is 6 pm in the evening. Time for that Advanced Audio Visuals class. It is an interesting lesson taught by an interesting lecturer but today my mind is just not in class. I am far away in Bollywood conversing with Bani.  Bani is a main character in this Indian soap, "The Promise" that I have really grown attached to. Sometimes she manages to move me to tears because her life is full of ups and downs. So in yesterday's episode, she was framed and I can't wait to see how she will unframe herself. Valia her love has already fallen for the lies. Poor thing. I am almost punching my classmate Nyaigoti in anger when I think of these bitch Jegiasa who keeps frustrating Bani!

Oops! The lesson comes to an end. Four pages of notes on Microphone Techniques are angrily glaring at me. What kind of shit is this now? I grab George's book without his consent and force it into my black Gucci bag and storm out of class. I have to get home before nine for the next episode of The Promise!

Just what is involved in film production? I remember one time my uncle saying that, we are kept glued to the television not knowing that we are watching other people make money. Yes! The film makers. Just how do they manage to grab our attention? How do they manage to move our emotions? How do they manage to get us involved in their line of thoughts? If you would love to get acquainted with the stages of production (Pre - Production, production and post - production) here is a great deal for you. What about you attended the four day Campus Film Symposium which will be held at the Technical University of Kenya as from next week, 17th - 20th May.

We have amazing themes for each day, which shall be discussed by amazing speakers. The theme for the 1st day will be script writing, which shall be followed by Legal issues in Film Production, then marketing, pitching and promotion of local films. The final day will see Photography in Film discussed.

Do you still want to miss it? Guess who will be representing, United States International University, Riara University, Kenyatta University, Kenya Methodists University, Multi Media University, among others. Here is something for you... Four things define you: the books you read, the movies you watch, the people you meet and the questions you ask. As you come, prepare those great questions for they will be answered by great people!
