Alter Stunts
Recently, I was watching a local music video whose storyline was about a wedding. The story becomes sad when another woman shows up in the wedding claiming she was promised marriage. The bride leaves the wedding but there is a fairytale ending.
This video raised the question "just who does that to the woman they are about to marry?" There were a lot of ways to prevent that woman from showing up at the wedding, especially because she did not look like a specialized op.
The groom would have had security guards ensure the woman does not show up. The smarter move would be to notify the woman to stay away the moment things became serious. Leaving things unsettled until the wedding is not very gentlemanly.
Similarly, this does not cement the masculinity of the man as the protector of the family. The day you proclaim to cherish, love and protect a woman should in itself show /serve as a good instance.
Think of it this way; say you are a man about to take a vow to stay with a woman till death do you part, and at that precise moment you are about to say 'I do', someone shows up with three kids claiming they are the brides’. What would be your opinion of such a woman?
Shit happens to others but it can happen to us too. The world is spherical!
