I
had to think this aloud.......
All of us go to school with an aim to work some day.
We work hard in class so as to graduate with good grades. Whether we pass
genuinely or ‘through Mwakenya’ shouldn’t be anyone’s business! What we have to
offer to the job market is what should matter.
Another thing. None of us wish to hustle after
campus. We usually hope that we shall get good paying jobs immediately after
graduating. Now, what to do when all employers look for applicants with 3-5
years of experience? Where do these employers expect the fresh graduates to get
the experience from when they aren’t ready to employ them? One wonders!
When we start looking for work, we seek God’s
blessings and favor. We also ask God to bless us with good bosses. Bosses who
are humans and not savage animals. Some bosses can be extremely obnoxious! They
take too much delight in harassing their employees forgetting they were once in
the same position. Is okay! We too shall be bosses one day in time and your
kids shall be at our mercies. Watch out!
Okay! I studied Journalism and Mass Communication in
college or Pharmacy or even Architecture. Don’t think I am too desperate when I
come looking for a job in your hotel, so that you can start showing me crap
believing I will tolerate it. I came to
your hotel because I am too big to be supported by my parents. I just want to
be independent and prove the fact that I am flexible. Is that too much to ask?
Being nice to people is the most wonderful thing
because it gives you a clean conscience always. Whether people are crude to you
shouldn’t perturb you. You played your part in their life by being nice to
them. Never pay evil with evil.
Life is a cycle. What you do to others will sure
come back to you some day!!
